Release 2025.4
As the cold days slowly come to an end, spring brings with it the new TAKTIQ Version 2025.4 – packed with exciting highlights:
The highlights:
- Analyze Drift Across Stations
- Eliminate Overloads with Automatic Splitting of Workplaces
- More Stable Production Through Utilization Based Sequencing

Analyze / Drift
Analyze Drift Across Stations
The drift analysis is one of the standout features of TAKTIQ. Until now, you’ve been using it to identify utilization peaks within a single workplace. But as a planner, you likely also want to know: When does one worker have to wait for a colleague at another station – and why?
After months of intensive development, we’re excited to introduce the new cross-station drift analysis – for even more realistic and robust production planning. From now on, you’ll be able to identify bottlenecks early – before they turn into real issues.

How it works
Simply use the dropdown in the drift analysis to choose all relevant workplaces you want to include in your cross-station drift evaluation.

What you’ll see
Get a clear overview of the start and end times for each order across all selected stations. Waiting times – where one operator is blocked by another – are visually highlighted. Hover over any of these delays to see the specific cause:
- Blockages within a station – Workers on the same station block each other (e.g., due to limited space) and cannot work simultaneously.
- Joint change to new order – Some tasks require workers to begin work on a new order at the same time, which can lead to delays.
- Blocked by the previous station – If a worker on the previous station drifts, it causes waiting times on the following station.
- Supporters blocking successor station – If a drift limit is exceeded and a supporter is needed, this can result in delays on the next station.

Configurable dependencies
You decide which types of waiting times should be considered – quickly and easily in the dependency settings. Here, you also define which working positions block each other. For example, you can specify that a worker at the “Rear Left” position not only blocks a colleague at the same position on the next station, but also those working at “Middle Left” and “Front Left”. All settings are saved per user.
Coming Soon
With the upcoming TAKTIQ Release 2025.6, you’ll be able to document the actual working area of each worker. This allows you to define whether a worker starts with an order before or only after the actual station limit – and analyze its impact on the drift. Stay tuned!

Optimize / Line Balancing III (automatic)
Eliminate Overloads with Automatic Splitting of Workplaces
Growing demand? That’s great news! But it also brings new challenges to production planning. Shorter cycle times can quickly lead to overloads – and suddenly, you need more workplaces.
No worries – with our latest release, you’ll overcome this hurdle in no time! The automatic line balancing creates new workplaces with ease and eliminates overloads.
Under Optimize / Automatic Line Balancing, you can now select the new “Split up Workplaces” function. In the target refinement, you simply choose which overloaded workplaces should be split up.
One click – and voilà! You’ll receive fully automated alternative solution scenarios from which you can select your preferred option for detailed planning.
The newly generated workplaces inherit key properties such as fix points and working positions from their “source” workplace – ensuring that only suitable tasks are assigned to them.
Sounds good? Give it a try – you’ll be impressed!

Analyze / Sequencing Rules
More Stable Production Through Utilization Based Sequencing
The TAKTIQ order sequencing ensures the optimal production order in secondsby considering both sequencing rules (e.g., density) and the utilization of workplaces (Utilization Levelling). With this release, the sequencing module now also offers comprehensive analysis features that you may already know from the line balancing module:
- Analyze Drift Behavior & Adjust Drift Configuration:
The drift analysis (Analyze / Drift Analysis) shows the drift behavior per workplace and helps you identify potential production issues (e.g., drift limit violations) early on. If necessary, you can directly adjust the drift configuration of the workplaces. - Targeted Control of Orders Above Cycle Time:
With the “Order Feature Times” (Analyze / Time Spread), you can quickly identify critical combinations of features and avoid bottlenecks by using targeted sequencing rules. - Efficiently Check the Impact of Sequencing Rules:
Reduce administrative effort by simulating the impact of your sequencing rules. This way, unnecessary rules can be quickly identified and eliminated (Analyze / Sequencing Rules).
And that’s just a small preview! Feel free to contact us to learn more about utilization leveling!
Further Improvements
- Add time analysis building blocks even faster: With a double-click, you can now insert the desired code from the data card directly into the corresponding row of your time analysis. (Document / Time Analyses)
- Save from order scheduling workflow into a TKQ file: You can now save the current state of your order scheduling directly into a TKQ file. (Start / Operate & Navigate)
